| On Sunday, 8 of your Norco firefighters traveled to Berks County Fire Academy to conduct live fire training burns with Birdsboro-Union Fire Department and Monarch Fire Company. Members from all three companies spent the day honing their skills in multiple areas such as proper hose line deployment, fire suppression, ventilation, ladder raising, pumping apparatus, scene size-ups, and search/rescue. These types of trainings are crucial for our newer members to get a real-life feel for what to expect when we are dispatched to building fires and a great way for our more senior firefighters to keep their skills sharp. We would like to thank Birdsboro-Union Fire Department for inviting us to attend this invaluable training opportunity. Norco Fire Company is truly blessed to have such a strong working relationship with its mutual aid partners and looks forward to working with them more in the future.
