On Friday, November 7th, station 64 was dispatched to assist Montgomery County Station 37 on a large field fire in the 500 block of Miles Road. Chief 64, Utility 64, and ATV 64 made the response. ATV 64 assisted with wetting down the perimeter of the fire area to keep it from reigniting. A total of 10 acres burned before the fire was completely extinguished. All 64 units returned to station after operating for approximately 1 hour. A second crew remained in station with Engine 64-2 in case of a second emergency call.
