| Over the weekend, 10 of your Norco volunteers, along with members of Ridge Fire Company, successfully completed Rapid Intervention Team Basic Training hosted through Bucks County Fire Academy. Rapid Intervention Teams (RIT) are normally utilized during structure fires, with their primary objective being to rescue lost, injured, or trapped firefighters during these operations. Our members spend thousands of hours each year training to learn new skills and keeping current skills sharp to provide our residents with the best emergency services possible. Norco Fire Company would like to thank Ridge Fire Company for allowing us to utilize their training house to host this class, and we look forward to hosting the advanced level of this class with them later this year. Did you know that in 2025, Norco Fire Company began hosting classes at our station? These classes are completely free to our members! So far, we’ve hosted Vehicle Rescue Technician, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Pump Operation Level 1, Basic Rapid Intervention Teams, and Emergency Vehicle Operations Course, with plans to host many more in the coming year. This is just one of many perks of being a firefighter with Norco Fire Company! Norco Fire Company is honored to serve the residents of North Coventry Township. Norco Fire Company is always welcoming new members to our team. No prior experience is necessary to join, and all equipment and training are provided at no cost to members. The minimum age requirement to join is 16. For more information, please contact us today! |
