| Last evening, Station 64 and EMS were dispatched to W Schuylkill Rd & Catfish Ln for reports of an accident with injuries. Captain 64, Rescue 64, Engine 64-5, and Traffic 64 made the response. Shortly after dispatch, the incident was upgraded to a vehicle rescue with reports of one person trapped after the vehicle rolled multiple times. Captain 64 arrived on scene, confirming one victim trapped and established command. Rescue 64 arrived on scene shortly after and utilized rescue tools to remove the driver’s side door of the vehicle to access the patient. Engine 64-5 arrived on scene and assisted Rescue 64 while Traffic 64 shut down the roadway to protect members while they worked to free the patient. Crews were able to extricate the patient approximately 5 minutes after arrival before turning the patient over to EMS for transport. 64 units would clear the scene after operating for approximately 1.5 hours.
