| Last evening, twelve of your Norco volunteers attended Monday night training. The crews spent the evening practicing forcible entry and SCBA mask-up drills. Each member conducted multiple evolutions of forcible entry, both alone and with a partner. Occasionally, the firefighters on the first arriving apparatus may need to perform multiple roles during the initial stages of an incident, while more apparatus and personnel respond to the scene. By being able to force entry into a structure independently, the second firefighter can then focus on a different task, such as extending a handline or raising ground ladders.
Norco Fire Company is always welcoming new members to our team. No prior experience is necessary to join, and all equipment and training are provided at no cost to members. The minimum age requirement to join is 16. For more information, please contact us today! |
